2. Order Processing and Handling Time

Orders are processed after successful payment confirmation and verification of product availability.

Order Processing: Processing includes payment verification, stock confirmation, order preparation, packaging and courier arrangements.

Business Days: Monday to Friday, excluding South African public holidays.

Orders received over weekends or public holidays will generally be reviewed on the next business day.

The applicable handling period will be displayed at checkout or communicated before the order is confirmed.

Customers will be notified of material delays affecting their orders.

3. Estimated Delivery Times

Delivery timeframes depend on the delivery destination, product availability, shipping method and courier arrangements.

Major Metropolitan Areas: Estimated delivery times will be displayed during checkout or confirmed before purchase.

Regional Areas: Delivery estimates depend on the relevant courier service and destination.

Remote Locations: Additional delivery time may be required where specialised transport or extended courier routes are necessary.

Large Automotive Components: Engines, gearboxes and other heavy assemblies may require specialised freight arrangements.

All delivery estimates are calculated from dispatch unless otherwise stated.

Delivery estimates are not guaranteed delivery dates unless expressly agreed.

4. Shipping Fees and Delivery Charges

Shipping charges depend on the product, delivery destination and applicable transportation requirements.

Relevant factors may include:

  • Product weight and dimensions

  • Delivery address and location

  • Courier or freight service

  • Specialised packaging requirements

  • Delivery accessibility

  • Additional handling requirements for heavy components

The applicable delivery fee will be disclosed during checkout or confirmed before the customer commits to the purchase.

Where a delivery quotation is required, the customer will be informed before the order is finalised.

No undisclosed shipping charge will be added after an order has been accepted without the customer's agreement.

5. Shipping of Engines, Gearboxes and Heavy Components

Certain automotive products require specialised handling and transportation.

These products may include:

  • Complete petrol and diesel engines

  • Engine long blocks and short blocks

  • Automatic and manual gearboxes

  • Transmission assemblies

  • Steering racks

  • Drivetrain and suspension assemblies

Where necessary, heavy automotive components may be packaged using reinforced cartons, protective wrapping, pallets or other suitable transport materials.

Delivery arrangements for oversized or heavy products will be communicated before dispatch.

Customers may be required to make suitable arrangements for unloading heavy components where this has been disclosed and agreed in advance.

6. Order Confirmation and Dispatch

After an order has been placed, OEM Spare Parts will review the relevant purchase details.

  • Courier or freight provider

  • Tracking details, where available

  • Estimated delivery information

  • Relevant delivery instructions

7. Order Tracking

Tracking updates depend on the courier or freight provider's systems.

8. Delivery Address and Customer Information

Customers must provide accurate delivery details when placing orders.

Required information may include:

  • Full recipient name

  • Contact telephone number

Incorrect or incomplete delivery information may result in delays.

Where a customer requests an address change after dispatch, additional courier charges may apply if legally permissible and agreed.

9. Delivery Attempts and Unsuccessful Deliveries

Courier providers may attempt delivery according to their operating procedures.

If delivery cannot be completed because the recipient is unavailable or the supplied address is incorrect, the courier may arrange another delivery attempt or provide further instructions.

Additional charges arising from customer-requested redelivery may apply where properly disclosed and agreed.

Customers will be assisted in resolving unsuccessful delivery arrangements.

10. Receiving and Inspecting Deliveries

Customers are encouraged to inspect packages upon receipt.

Where practical, customers should check:

  • Whether the correct product was delivered.

  • Whether the package has visible damage.

  • Whether the supplied components are complete.

  • Whether the product matches the order details.

  • Whether any damage occurred during transportation.

Customers should report visible damage, missing items or incorrect deliveries as soon as reasonably possible.

Photographs of the packaging and affected components may assist with investigating delivery concerns.

Failure to report an issue immediately does not automatically remove statutory consumer rights.

11. Damaged Products During Shipping

OEM Spare Parts aims to ensure that products are suitably packaged for transportation.

If an item arrives damaged, customers should contact our support team and provide relevant information about the delivery.

Where a product is damaged before the risk of loss or damage has lawfully passed to the customer, OEM Spare Parts will arrange an appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable consumer protection legislation.

Customers will not be required to bear costs that are legally the supplier's responsibility.

12. Lost or Missing Shipments

If a shipment is delayed, missing or suspected to be lost, customers should contact OEM Spare Parts.

We will assist with investigating the delivery status through the relevant courier or freight provider.

Where goods are not delivered and OEM Spare Parts remains legally responsible, an appropriate replacement, refund or other lawful resolution will be provided.

13. Delivery Delays

Delivery delays may occur due to circumstances such as:

  • Courier operational disruptions

  • Severe weather conditions

  • Public holidays

  • Transport interruptions

  • Remote delivery locations

  • Product availability issues

  • Unexpected logistical difficulties

Customers will be informed of material delays where reasonably possible.

Where delivery cannot be completed within the agreed or legally applicable period, customers retain their rights under South African consumer protection legislation.

14. Customer Collection

Customer collection may be available where expressly offered and confirmed by OEM Spare Parts.

Collection arrangements must be agreed before the customer travels to the designated collection location.

Customers may be required to provide an order confirmation and suitable identification when collecting goods.

Collection is not available unless specifically confirmed for the relevant order.

15. International Shipping

This policy primarily covers deliveries within South Africa.

International shipping is not included as a standard service unless expressly offered and agreed for a particular order.

Any applicable international freight costs, customs duties, taxes and import requirements will be communicated according to the relevant shipping arrangement.

16. Changes to Shipping Details

Customers wishing to change their delivery address or shipping instructions should contact OEM Spare Parts as soon as possible.

Changes requested before dispatch may be accommodated where practical.

Changes after dispatch depend on courier capabilities and may result in additional charges where lawfully agreed.

17. Returns Related to Delivery

Where a product is incorrectly supplied, damaged, defective or otherwise qualifies for return, the applicable return arrangements will be handled according to our Returns and Refunds Policy.

Customers can review the separate policy for information about return eligibility, return shipping costs, refunds and exchanges.

18. Customer Support

For shipping enquiries, delivery updates, tracking assistance or concerns about an order, customers may contact OEM Spare Parts through the official contact details published on our website.

OEM Spare Parts respects applicable South African consumer protection legislation, including the Consumer Protection Act and Electronic Communications and Transactions Act.

Nothing in this Shipping and Delivery Policy excludes or limits statutory consumer rights.

Where any policy provision conflicts with mandatory legal requirements, the applicable legislation will prevail.

20. Changes to This Shipping Policy

OEM Spare Parts may update this Shipping and Delivery Policy to reflect changes in shipping providers, delivery arrangements, business operations or applicable legislation.

Updated versions will be published on our website with the relevant effective date.
